The county’s IFA Chairman has condemned the recent theft of a set of dual wheels from a tractor. The theft occurred in Cloonshannagh, Roosky sometime between 7 p.m. on July 29th and 8.00 a.m. on July 30th. Gardaí say the property was valued at €4,000 and that the thief or thieves knew what they were doing.

Roscommon IFA Chairman Jim O’Connor appealed for people to come forward if they had information. “The reality is that with so many criminals loose around the countryside, property is at risk,” he said.

He urged anyone with information to contact the Gardaí and hoped those responsible would be brought before the courts.
