A Roscommon woman, who went on the National Lottery TV game show Winning Streak in the place of her mother, spun the iconic Grand Prize Wheel and won the top prize of €500,000 – the first time the Winning Streak top prize has been won in nine years! All in all, this week’s Winning Streak players took home a cool €690,000.
Michelle Morgan, from Fairymount in Co. Roscommon, won a grand total of €522,000 on the RTE One show on Saturday 18th January when she played the show in the place of her mother, Mairead Cox, who rushed onto the RTE set to celebrate with Michelle when the ball landed in the coveted white €500,000 segment – the first time the top prize has been won since 2011.
Michelle was speechless while her family jubilantly celebrated around her. Michelle (27) was delighted when her mums name was drawn to appear on this week’s show Mairead asked that Michelle do her a good turn and go on the show for her – something Michelle was more than happy to do.
The Winning Streak National Lottery TV game show is co-presented by Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy and features some perennial favourite games including Play or Pay, Roll for Riches, WinFall and Electric Dream – where one player will win an electric car worth €25,000.
