Roscommon University Hospital would like to remind the public that all inpatient and day cases procedures remain cancelled at the hospital. Outpatient clinics at the hospital are also currently cancelled with a very limited number of exceptions. All patients will be contacted by text or telephone 2 to 3 days before their scheduled appointment date.
The GP walk-in x-ray service is currently suspended. GPs have access to urgent x-ray services, when deemed necessary. X-rays for injuries (e.g suspected broken bones – arms and legs) are available via the Injury Unit.
The Injury Unit is open from 8am to 8pm, 7 days per week. This is a GP or self–referral service for a range of minor injuries including suspected broken bones (arms and legs), sprains and strains, burns, wounds, bites, abscesses and minor chest and head injuries amongst others. Please refer to www.saolta.ie for more details or call 090 6632212.
“We would like to thank the public for their cooperation,” said a spokesperson for the hospital on Friday afternoon.
