An additional two people diagnosed with Covid-19 announced today brings Roscommon’s total to 116.

Roscommon now has more cases than Leitrim (64), Longford (113), Carlow (91) and Sligo (104). In terms of neighbouring counties, Mayo saw its largest increase today of 40 cases today bringing its total to 435, Galway now has 332, and Westmeath has 437.


The Health Protection Surveillance Centre was notified of 26 more coronavirus-related fatalities. This brings the death toll of confirmed and probable Covid-19-related deaths to 1,087 in the State.

A further 701 new cases of the virus have been confirmed, bringing Ireland’s total number of confirmed cases to 19,262.
