From Monday in line with phase 2 of the Government’s Roadmap for Reopening Society and Business, libraries in County Roscommon can now commence reopening.

Roscommon Library Service has announced that initially, library spaces will be restricted to library staff and from Tuesday, June 16th the library service will arrange for the safe return of library items and the implementation of a safe lending service on a ‘Contact and Collect’ basis. The services will be in operation at Ballaghaderreen, Boyle, Castlerea and Roscommon Town Library. Online services will continue to be available as the library services move through the re-opening phases. The resumption of a full library service will be in accordance with government policy and HSE guidelines to ensure the safety of all during Covid 19, said a spokesperson for Roscommon Library Services.
