The Roscommon intermediate ladies have been drawn against Wexford and Offaly for the group stages of this year’s TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship.
The draw, which took place this evening, saw Roscommon as one of the seeded teams, having reached the championship semi-final in 2019.
Manager Michael Finneran will be relatively happy with the draw, but will be eager that his side hit the ground running. Offaly plied their trade in Division Four this season, but Wexford, who defeated Roscommon in a Division Three League semi-final in Clane a few years’ ago, will provide a much sterner test, having played in Division Two before Covid-19 intervened.
Dates for this year’s ladies’ football championships will be confirmed in due course.
