It’s official Mount Dillon in County Roscommon, in the top three yesterday, topped the charts yesterday as the hottest place in the country this afternoon according to Met Eireann.
The weather station at Mount Dillon logged 25 degrees celsius.
It’s the only station in the entire country recording 25 degrees, but others are recording 24 including Mullingar, Athenry, Moore Park and Oak Park in Carlow.
Yesterday it was a glorious 24.2 degrees in the county. This was the third-highest temperature in the country
Tonight will be mostly dry with some clear spells, becoming cloudier by morning with a slight chance of a shower. Humid overnight with lows of 12 to 15 degrees with mist and fog patches developing in light to moderate northerly breezes.
