All adult and underage games in Roscommon are set to proceed as scheduled this weekend despite the news that the parent of an underage club player is set to be tested for Covid-19 after developing symptoms.
This afternoon St. Dominic’s GAA club posted to their club facebook page that one under player in their club is currently considered to be a “close contact” and so is isolating, but that by HSE and GAA protocols, no other players must isolate and all club activity can continue. This follows the news of a confirmed case in the Strokestown club earlier this week, though in that instance players were also unaffected.
St. Dominic’s will take on Shannon Gaels at Knockcroghery in Group C of the Intermediate championship tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m., while there is also U-14 hurling, U-16 football, U-12 football and a variety of LGFA and camogie matches involving the club taking place in the coming days.
