Former Mayo ladies’ footballer Diane O’Hora will take over the management of the Roscommon intermediate ladies’ football panel in 2021.

O’Hora, a former All-Ireland winning captain, has enjoyed great success in coaching and management.

She has coached Down to win the All-Ireland intermediate title and has enjoyed provincial success with Longford and Meath. She has managed club teams in Meath and Dublin to county final triumphs, while she also enjoyed a stint with St. Brigid’s, leading the Kiltoom/Cam-based club to a Connacht senior final.

“No doubt Diane will bring the same commitment and dedication to the Roscommon set-up as when she was a player. She will use her own experience from her playing days, and with her coaching expertise alongside her experience in fitness, she will no doubt be just what the set-up needs. On behalf of Roscommon LGFA, I wish Diane all the best for 2021,” said Roscommon LGFA Chairperson Brendan Cregg.

O’Hora will take over from Michael Finneran who confirmed a few weeks ago that was stepping down from the role to allow Roscommon LFGA put fresh structures in place for 2021.

The former Roscommon midfielder will be in charge of the team for the upcoming TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Ladies’ Football Championship where Roscommon have been grouped with Wexford and Offaly.
