The Roscommon minor (U-17) footballers will face a Connacht semi-final against either Galway or Leitrim on October 30th, it has been confirmed.

The draw was made by the Connacht Council on Monday evening, with the match scheduled to take place at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Ballyhaunis.

Originally, the competition was due to be played in a round robin format, as in previous years, earlier this summer but, as a result of Covid-19, Emmet Durney’s side will now be involved in a straight knockout competition.

The local minor competitions are currently reaching their concluding stages with St. Brigid’s set to meet Pádraig Pearses in the Division One final.
