It was a balmy 22.3 degrees in County Roscommon yesterday, the ninth highest temperature in Ireland. Recorded at Mount Dillon, it was also the second-highest temperature in Connacht, after Athenry on 22.4 degrees.
Today, the temperature at the Mount Dillon station at the moment is an estimated 23 degrees but it is expected to get cooler as the day progresses.
Tonight is expected to be mild and humid and will be dry overall dry with clear spells, though mist and fog patches will occur, in light easterly breezes. Lowest temperatures will be 12 to 16 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be humid again in Connacht with a mix of cloud and warm hazy sunshine. It will be brightest during the second half of the day.s
