Ballinlough publican Todd Campbell.

A popular Ballinlough pub has decided to postpone its re-opening on Monday.

Publican Todd Campbell says that “at the moment, the situation in regard to Covid-19 still feels very uncertain and unsafe as far as I can see. I am concerned about enforcing the recently issued guidelines and even if that were possible, I think while necessary, they would impact negatively on the nature of my pub and the way we do business as well as the customer experience in Campbells.”

Todd who has run Campbell’s Lake O’Flynn Bar for decades says that “he sincerely hopes that things will improve – but as always the safety of everyone who comes through the doors is the most important thing”.

He says that he will keep the situation under review and will update all as to what he’s thinking in a few weeks.

“I hope that you are all well, I miss you and hope that we can all enjoy a pint together soon again,” said Todd.
