Roscommon County Council has announced the setting up of project-specific website for the N61 Ballymurray to Knockcroghery Road Project.

This website, the council says will be used going forward as a platform to share information in relation to the project, from the latest news, to upcoming public consultations, as well as having links to previously published documentation for the project.

The Project Specific Website can be accessed through www.n61roscommon.ie

The N61 Ballymurray to Knockcroghery project has been progressing throughout the spring and summer, with environmental surveys being undertaken. The design of the route options are progressing and being refined to allow an accurate assessment of the likely impacts of each option.

The selection of the emerging preferred route is currently being finalised in advance of Public Consultation 3 which will take place in Q4 2020.  Over the coming weeks, some preliminary ground investigation works will be undertaken on-site to assist in determining the extent and depth of soft ground likely to be encountered by the various route options.

These works are being carried out in accordance with the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Covid-19 protocols.
