Roscommon minor footballer Jamesie Greene is in contention to become Electric Ireland Minor Football Player of the Week.
The Éire Óg player was hugely influential in his side’s famous 2-13 to 0-11 victory against Galway in last Friday evening’s Connacht semi-final at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan, Ballyhaunis.
Apart from his leadership qualities, he managed to neutralise the impact of one of Galway’s key players, Conall Gallagher.
Greene is competing against Ruairí Canavan from Tyrone and Offaly’s Cathal Ryan for the award.
Details on how to vote are on the Electric Ireland Twitter feed.
