Intrepid Boyle photographer Benny Morgan has been making a habit of receiving acclaim for his coveted photographs on nature and local landscapes.

And he’s been at it again when his photograph of Elphin Windmill, taken last year, appeared on the popular RTE television programme ‘The Today Show’ with Maura Derrane and Dáithí Ó Sé, broadcast yesterday (Monday).

It’s not the first time Benny’s colourful photographs appeared on the programme as pictures of the former Rockingham Estate in Boyle and Diamond Hill in Connemara have also appeared on the programme, which offers viewers the opportunity to showcase some of the favourite photographs.

A native of Portlaoise, Benny lives in the Deerpark area of Boyle with his wife Caroline. A retired employee of Bank of Ireland, Benny worked in Boyle, Roscommon town and Tubbercurry for a number of years prior to his retirement.

A lover of nature, Benny has a passion for taking photographs of his local environment and nature and is a regular fixture taking photographs at the local Boyle Arts Festival.
