The number of Covid-19 cases reported in County Roscommon this evening has increased to 10. After reporting no cases on Sunday and 7 yesterday, numbers are beginning to creep back up. The county’s five-day average is now 6, the 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 of population is 122.4 and 79 new cases have been reported in the last 14 days.
In adjoining counties 7 cases were reported in Sligo; fewer than 5 in Leitrim and Longford; 26 in Westmeath; 15 in Mayo and 38 in Galway.
Nationally the Department of Health has been notified of 45 additional deaths related to Covid-19 and 575 confirmed cases.
Of the cases notified today:
- 272 are men and 298 are women
- 68% are under 45 years of age
- the median age is 32 years old
- 218 of the cases are in Dublin, 38 in Galway, 35 in Louth, 27 in Limerick, 26 in Westmeath and the remaining 231 cases are spread across 20 other counties
As of 8 a.m. today, 693 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 150 are in ICU. There have been 37 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
