Roscommon teams will be furnished with their fixtures plan for 2021 by the GAA later today, but the announcement has been overshadowed by another alleged breach of Covid-19 regulations by a high-profile intercounty men’s football team.
Video footage and photographs have emerged this morning allegedly showing members of the Monaghan senior football panel in breach of current public health guidelines.
The Irish Independent is reporting that a “large gathering” purportedly took place at Corduff GAA Club on the last weekend in March, overseen by members of the Farney County’s management team.
A dossier detailing the breach of Covid-19 guidelines has been sent to several different parties, including the Department of Justice, Croke Park and the Department of Health.
The GAA has vowed to fully investigate the matter.
The latest alleged breach of restrictions comes a week after members of the Dublin senior football panel broke health guidelines at Innisfails GAA Club, which led to a 12-week suspension for manager Dessie Farrell.
