Roscommon will play Galway in this year’s Connacht senior football semi-final at Dr. Hyde Park after the 2021 provincial draw took place this evening.

The match will be a repeat of the 2019 decider at Pearse Stadium, Salthill, which Roscommon famously won by 1-13 to 0-12, thanks to Diarmuid Murtagh’s second-half goal.

Both counties are due to meet in the second round of the upcoming Division One NFL on May 23rd in Pearse Stadium, Salthill.

Reigning Connacht champions Mayo will play Sligo in the quarter-final, with the winners playing Leitrim in the semi-final.

The Connacht Council will announce the dates, times and venues for this year’s championship matches in due course.
