St. James’s Hospital in Dublin.

One of the largest hospitals in the country has confirmed that it has no patients with Covid-19 for the first time in over a year.

St. James’s Hospital, located in Dublin’s south inner city, has been treating patients with the virus every day since March 2020.

During the peak of the third wave earlier this year, there were in excess of 100 people being treated in the hospital.

The news showcases the impact of the current vaccination programme on decreasing hospital and ICU numbers around the country.
