A County Roscommon restaurant will not reopen its indoor dining next week, despite the green light from cabinet that indoor hospitality can resume for fully vaccinated people from Monday, July 26th.

Hester’s Golden Eagle Bar and Restaurant in Castlerea posted on social media this evening, outlining the decision management has taken to delay the opening of its indoor dining.

“We have taken the decision here in Hesters to DELAY our indoor dining reopening as we feel it is unfair to discriminate against those who are not vaccinated and will be unworkable to have vaccinated people inside and unvaccinated people outside. Our outdoor seating area and takeaway service will remain fully open to all and we hope it will be only a few short weeks before we can welcome ALL OUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS back inside again 👍🏻
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.”
