The Covid Testing Centre in Castlerea.


The number of new cases of Covid-19 in County Roscommon continues to increase, however, the numbers remain low.

Last week, October 4th and October 10th, 109 cases in the county were identified, giving a 7-day incidence rate of 168.9 per 100,000. This is significantly below the national 7-day incidence rate of 210.0 per 100,000.

Between last Wednesday and Sunday, the 5 day moving average of confirmed cases was 17. In the 14 days leading up to Sunday, a total of 226 cases were found.

In neighbouring counties last week, Mayo had 202 new cases, Leitrim 46, Offaly 108, Longford 126, Westmeath 183, Sligo 111. and Galway 568
