Roscommon senior football manager Anthony Cunningham has unveiled his new backroom team for next season.

Cunningham, who has been the Rossies’ boss since 2019, has introduced a host of different personnel for 2022.

Former London senior football manager Noel Dunning and former Roscommon player Derek Duggan are among the new faces that will be in the Roscommon dugout.

Selectors for the last three years, Mark Dowd and Iain Daly, had indicated that they weren’t in a position to commit next season, joining Stephen Poacher who confirmed last weekend that was stepping away from the step-up.

Alongside Dunning and Duggan, Luke Bree and Peter Tormey will take up the roles of selectors/coaches.

Former Sligo Rovers goalkeeping coach Leo Tierney will be the panel’s new goalkeeping coach. Gary Flannery will remain in place as Strength and Conditioning coach.

“On behalf of Roscommon GAA, I wish Anthony and his backroom team the very best of luck for 2022. I would like to welcome Luke, Noel, Derek, Peter and Leo on board.

“A very special word of thanks to Mark Dowd, Iain Daly, Dara Bruen and Steven Poacher for their dedication and commitment to Roscommon GAA during their time with the Roscommon senior football team,” said Roscommon GAA Chairperson, Brian Carroll.
