The public will get a chance to see the options proposed for a major upgrade of the N4 between Carrick-on-Shannon and Dromod next week. Leitrim County Council will be hosting two information sessions for the public on the plans for the 21km multi-million upgrade.
It is almost a year since people living along the N4 in Leitrim were asked for their thoughts on a major upgrade of the route between the Drumharlow townland west of Carrick-on-Shannon to the Faulttownland east of Aghamore.
It has now been confirmed that a detailed plan has been finalised that includes a combination of active travel measures for walking and cycling as well as improving the current N4 and building a new road network.
The public will get a chance to see the plans at two in-person events next week in Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday, May 18th from 2pm to 8pm and on Thursday, May 19th from 2pm to 8pm, in The Landmark Hotel.
Details will also be made available on the project website carrickdromod.ie with all public materials also available at the Council offices from Friday May 20th until the 10th of June
