There is major disruption to traffic on the outskirts of Galway City this morning.

Gardaí and Emergency Services are currently at the scene of a road traffic incident on the N17 at Claregalway.

Diversions are in place and delays are expected.

It remains unclear if anyone has been injured in the incident.
