Visitor restrictions have been put in place at Roscommon University Hospital due to a Covid-19 outbreak.

A statement from the Saolta Hospital Group said that due to an outbreak of Covid-19, access for visitors to St Teresa’s Ward at Roscommon University Hospital is currently limited to compassionate grounds only. These visits should be arranged in advance with the nurse in charge.

Access for visitors to St Bridget’s Ward and St Coman’s Ward remains by appointment only. Visits must be pre-arranged by family members/visitors by contacting the ward or unit in advance.

  • St Teresa’s Ward – 090 6632253/30
  • St Coman’s Ward – 090 6632223/25

“Visitors will be required to follow public health guidance, including wearing a surgical mask and performing good hand hygiene regularly during their visit to the hospital,” the group said.

“Anyone planning to visit the hospital is asked to delay their visit if they have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with anyone with Covid-19.”
