While not quite reaching the highs of earlier in the week, it was still a warm day yesterday in County Roscommon despite the cloud.
The highest temperature recorded at the Mount Dillon weather station was 18.7 degrees. Athenry station saw the hottest temperature in Connacht with 20.6 degrees.
Oak Park in Carlow had the highest temperature nationally with 22.2 degrees.
It will be a dull morning today with scattered patches of drizzle and mist. It will brighten up and become drier this afternoon, with sunny spells developing and the chance of an isolated shower. The highest temperatures will be between 19 to 22 degrees in a light westerly or variable breeze.
Tonight will start generally dry with clear spells. However, it will turn cloudier towards morning with patches of light rain and drizzle developing near the coast. The lowest temperatures will be between 9 to 12 degrees with a few patches of mist developing.
