Olivia Costello, Roscommon Golf Club.

A Roscommon golfer will be rubbing shoulders with some of the world’s best players when she takes part in her first European Tour event later this month.

Olivia Costello has been invited to take part in the KPMG Women’s Irish Open at Dromoland Castle between September 22nd and 25th.

It is another feather in the cap of the golfer from Roscommon Golf Club who continues to make the headlines on the national and international stages.

In a post on social media earlier, Olivia said that she was “excited and thankful” to be playing in her first European Tour event.

In further good news for Roscommon Golf Club, Simon Walker won the Castletroy Senior Scratch Cup on Saturday last. Simon carded rounds of 67 and 69 to win by four strokes, landing three birdies in the last four holes to secure the victory.
