St. Dominic’s manager, Tomás Gilleran, and his players could be heading back to Leitrim next Saturday.


The Connacht GAA Council has this evening confirmed details of St. Dominic’s rescheduled Connacht club intermediate semi-final against Aughnasheelin, which was postponed in Cloone earlier today.

Tomás Gilleran’s charges will travel to Avant Money Páirc Seán MacDiarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon, on Saturday next, November 26th, for a 1.30 p.m. throw-in. If the Leitrim county ground is unplayable, the game will be moved to the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan.

If St. Dominic’s prevail, they will play Galway champions Dunmore MacHales in Dr. Hyde Park, most likely on Sunday, December 4th.

The provincial council has also confirmed that St. Ronan’s Connacht club junior football final against Clifden will be played in Dr. Hyde Park on Saturday, December 3rd, at 1.30 p.m..

Meanwhile, the senior club final involving Moycullen and Tourlestrane, which will see former Roscommon team-mates Don Connellan and Fergal O’Donnell in opposing dugouts, has been fixed for Pearse Stadium, Salthill, on Sunday, December 4th, at 1.30 p.m..
