Three sets of twins, Alice and Claire Fetherstone, Isla and Meara Stevenson and Kate and Myah Madden, who togged out for the Creggs U-14 girls’ team last weekend.

Creggs RFC, on the Roscommon/Galway border, believes that it may have set a new world record last weekend.

The club’s U-14 girls’ team recorded a thrilling 38-31 victory against Corinthians but that wasn’t the main talking point afterwards.

The Creggs team contained an incredible three sets of twins — Alice and Claire Fetherstone, Isla and Meara Stevenson and Kate and Myah Madden — who all played their part in the victory.

Surely a first in a team sport — Creggs RFC certainly thinks so!
