A regional road in the county will close later this week, Roscommon County Council has said.

The local authority has decided to temporarily close a section of the R325 at Roosky/ Kiltybranks on Thursday 1st December and Friday 2nd December. Diversions will be via the R326/ R293. The closure is being made to facilitate necessary road improvement works as part of the 2022 roads programme.

“Diversions will be in place and all Local and emergency access will be facilitated at all times,” the council said. “There may be an increased likelihood of delays on these roads as a consequence.”

The works are being carried out by the Castlerea Operational Area. For a map of the diversion, click here.
