Roscommon Civil Defence volunteers joined their colleagues from around the country at Croke Park today to be recognised for their vital role during the pandemic.

Minister for Defence and Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney honoured each Civil Defence volunteer for their work during COVID-19 with a special medal.

Roscommon County Council Acting Chief Executive Shane Tiernan, Chief Fire Officer John Keane and Civil Defence Officer Claire Keane were among the Roscommon delegation in Dublin.
