A Roscommon club ladies’ footballer will swap codes to line out with Connacht on Saturday.

Fiona Scally was part of the Clann na nGael side that retained their county senior football championship in October.

On Saturday, she will swap the blue of Clann na nGael for the green of Connacht as she lines out for the western province in the eagerly awaited Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship opener with Leinster in Dublin at 2.30 p.m..

Lock forward Scally, who plays with Galwegians, is the daughter of Matt Snr. and Ann. Her brother Matt is a former Roscommon and Clann na nGael senior footballer.
