One of County Roscommon’s most well-known and respected officials is set to become the next president of the Connacht Ladies’ Gaelic Football Association.

Brendan Cregg from Michael Glaveys was chosen as President Elect at the AGM of Connacht LGFA earlier this week. He will take over from Con Moynihan at the next AGM this time next year.

Mr Cregg has served as Roscommon Minor Board Chairperson and Roscommon LGFA Chairperson for a number of years, as well as holding a number of other positions at club, county and provincial level.

Michael Glaveys GAA Club has congratulated Mr Cregg, saying that it was a “great honour” for Brendan, Geraldine, the Cregg family and everyone in the club.

The new PRO of Connacht LGFA also hails from Roscommon. Former county PRO, Michelle Hughes-Walsh, was ratified as the new provincial PRO at this week’s AGM.
