Connacht Rugby captain Jack Carty could make history when he returns to the side for Saturday’s BKT United Rugby Championship contest against the Emirates Lions at The Sportsground (kick-off at 7.35 p.m.).
Having missed last week’s trip to Newcastle through injury, the former Roscommon underage footballer just needs six points to equal Eric Elwood’s all-time points scoring record of 1152 points for the western province.
The game will also see Brideswell brothers, Niall and Darragh Murray, paired together in the second row for their 48th and 6th caps respectively.
