Many tributes have been paid following the death of Betty Doyle from The Mill Bar and Restaurant in Bealnamulla.
Betty passed away peacefully yesterday (Tuesday, March 14th) at her residence in her 99th year.
In a social media message, local Fianna Fail councillor, John Keogh said that the entire community of Bealnamulla and the entire South Roscommon area was mourning the passing of Betty.
“Betty was well known to many who visited The Mill Bar, for her kind, timid and caring nature. I worked with Betty for many years when I was a barman in The Mill and I will forever remember her wise words,” Cllr Keogh said.
She is deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, neighbours and friends.
Funeral arrangements: Reposing at The Strand Funeral Home this evening, Wednesday, from 6 p.m. with removal at 7.45 p.m. to Ss Peter & Paul’s Church, arriving at 8 p.m.. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 2 p.m.. followed by burial in Drum Cemetery.
