Two people have been hospitalised with serious injuries following a road traffic collision in County Roscommon earlier today, Tuesday, March 21st.
In a statement to the Roscommon Herald Gardaí said that they attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision in the Clooneenbaun area of Roscommon this morning, Tuesday, March 21st.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital with serious, but what are understood to be non-life threatening, injuries.
The road at the location, near Oran GAA pitch on the main Ballymoe/Roscommon road, was closed for several hours this morning while emergency services dealt with the incident. The road re-opened to traffic in the early afternoon.
Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.
