Congratulations to Boyle Athletic Club members Aisling Rock, Siobhan Keaney, and Sinead Morahan, who delivered fantastic performances at the inaugural Dublin City Half Marathon. Aisling obliterated her previous best time by five minutes, crossing the finish line in 1:40:30. The race got underway at 8:30 a.m under sunny skies, starting from O’Connell Street and covering a 21.1km route through Dublin’s northside before finishing in the city centre. Aisling’s performance continues her strong form, having set her previous personal best just over a month ago in Drumshanbo.
Meanwhile on April 4th in Roscommon Adrian Gurn led the way, finishing 6th overall and 2nd in his age category (18:55). Shane McCarthy (19:55) and Phillip James (22:13) both took first in their age groups. Claire Flanagan came third in her category, with strong runs from Cian Duffy, Vicky Nolan, and Caroline O’Grady.
