Nostalgic reunion at Roscommon Community College

Former English teacher Mr Tom Costello and past pupils reunite for a joyful celebration that marks 25 years since the school's time capsule initiative.

Roscommon Community College was alive with nostalgia and camaraderie as past pupils gathered to celebrate the return of copies of letters they had placed inside a time capsule 25 years ago.

The unique project, initiated by English teacher Tom Costello in 2000, saw copies of the students’ letters securely stored in Roscommon Credit Union for safekeeping with a view to returning them 25 years later. The momentous occasion brought former students back to the school, where they were reunited with their letters and memories from their school days.
