Storm Lilian, which is set to track close to Ireland overnight, is set to bring heavy rain to County Roscommon.

The county will be under a Status Yellow rain warning from 10 p.m. on Thursday evening until 4 a.m. on Friday morning.

Met Éireann is warning of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions as a result of Storm Lilian, which has been named by the UK Met Office.

While Counties Roscommon, Westmeath, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Clare and Galway are under a Status Yellow rain warning, there is a Status Yellow wind warning place for Munster alongside Counties Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois, Wexford and Wicklow from midnight until 6 a.m. on Friday morning.
