Tributes paid to ‘a lady’ who retires from Roscommon business after 50 years of service

A special retirement celebration was held on Friday last for a woman who has given 50 years of service to a Roscommon Town business.
Sadie McCabe retired from Molloy’s bakery, Abbeytown, Roscommon on Friday and a special celebration was held to mark the occasion.
Hundreds of well wishes have been posted online for Sadie, and the team at Molloy’s Bakery have described her as the “heart and soul” of the bakery.
In several tributes to Sadie, those she worked with over the years and those she served described her as “a lady” who will be greatly missed.
“It's with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to our dearest Sadie as she embarks on a well-deserved retirement,” said the company.
“Sadie’s dedication, warmth, and tireless efforts have shaped the heart and soul of our bakery. For 50 years, she has been the backbone of our team. Her legacy will forever be woven into the fabric of our bakery.
“While we'll miss her dearly, we celebrate the joy, laughter, and incredible spirit she brought to Molloy's Bakery. Here's to you, Sadie, on a retirement filled with endless joy, relaxation, and the sweetest moments,” said the team at Molloy’s Bakery.
